Robin Burkholz received a Masters Degree in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh and an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College.  She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of California and holds her certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.   

Robin specializes in evaluating and treating children, adolescents, and young adults with autistic spectrum disorders, language disorders, learning disabilities, articulation disorders, and traumatic brain injury.  Robin is highly skilled in treating pragmatic language disorders and developing social thinking skills for clients with Asperger's Syndrome and High Functioning Autism.  She uses a cognitive-linguistic approach in treating language disorders, and integrates technology in her treatment methods.

Robin currently co-hosts a monthly Special Education Advocacy Parent Group in Westlake Village, CA. This educational/support group offers parents and guardians the opportunity to network, obtain information on the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) and 504* process, and navigate through the challenges of special education.

*The term "504" refers to a section from the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), and addresses accommodations for students with disabilities. http://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/504faq.html
